What a whirlwind last month was, we are not ready to let the fun end just yet so we thought an awesome way to relive a month on the road would be through a blog post since it’s been a hot minute! Being onboard with Tourism Australia’s National Experience Content Initiative rollout has been a time, The Edit Suite secured a contract for Queensland and since then our teams have divided and conquered, each team consisting of two camera operators a videographer, and a photographer alongside a producer. Over the last month, everyone’s been on the road – even our leading lady Kara a part of the fun! One month, 26 shoots, for lack of a better word it has been jam-packed but we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
June Destinations.
The content creation initiative is aimed at supporting tourism businesses across Australia, part of a recovery scheme to help boost the tourism industry after the heavy impact of COVID-19. Engaging locally-based professional photographers and content creators like us to provide tourism operators increased visitation through upgraded visual marketing, to over 1,500 tourism experiences across 57 regions around Australia. Each operator involved will receive a suite of updated fresh visual imagery. Our teams have traveled to some pretty insane locations around Queensland, meeting some awesome people on our journeys.
The first location ticked off the list last month was Tropical North Queensland. The fun kicked off as soon as our team touched down in Cairns, Australia. Jumping straight in the car traveling along the East Coast of Cape York Peninsula up to Cape Tribulation – Bob Marley Sun is Shinning on repeat. Spending two weeks in Tropical North Queensland, Australia the team worked their way from Cape Tribulation, through Port Douglas finishing off where they started in Cairns. The trip was back-to-back shooting of both photography and videography in some of Australia’s most picturesque destinations.

Southern Queensland Country was next up, Our team road-tripped inland to the countryside rugging up for the cold Winter weather. Photographing and videoing a mixed bag of experiences from Wine tours, Farm-stays even a Christmas experience in June…. it’s never too early to get festive!

Home to the Gold Coast for a second then off again, our team lived their best island life spending a week and a half on Magnetic Island “Maggie” as the locals call it. Working on their nice tans… ohhh and shooting of course. The team got to get amongst all the fun jet skiing, sunset sailing, and helicopter rides in other words living the best life. The month of travel finished off with a bang as our teams reunited in Townsville as our second team did a bump in to shoot another week and a half of experiences. There were still crew holding down the fort back on the Gold Coast pumping out all the video and photo edits.

Our team has filmed, photographed, and edited over 80 videos so far and we are still working through the production of a variety of other experiences within Queensland for this project – we can’t wait for what’s to come on our next adventures!
